FAQ
You will be greeted by your stylist and be given a short form of information to fill out before getting started. From there, you'll go over what it is you're looking for, likes, dislikes, etc. and begin shopping! You are welcome to shop through our collection and select dresses alongside your stylist. Once we have a good variety of gowns, we'll get started trying your selections. You and your guests will have a private fitting room space for them to relax while your stylist is helping you in and out of your gowns. Overall, you can expect a fun and inviting shopping experience for you and your guests!
We require a credit card to be on file to confirm any appointment. You will not be charged for making an appointment, however, if you cancel your appointment with less than a 24-hour notice or do not show up to your appointment, we charge the card on file a $100 cancellation/no show fee. Typically we will mark you as a no show if you are not here 30 minutes into the appointment.
Our gowns take anywhere from 4-6 months to arrive in store after the order is placed with the designer. We recommend allocating for a 2-3 month cushion of time for the seamstress to work her magic in alterations. Once your gown arrives in store, we send you a text to let you know and follow up to schedule a date for you to come in, try the gown back on, finalize any accessories, and take your gown home!
All wedding gown sales are final sales, there are no refunds, exchanges or returns on special order items.
We do not offer alterations at our store. However, we work very closely with an incredible seamstress not too far from our store. Our recommended seamstress is Nilah, of Nilah & Co. in Havertown, PA.
Not at all! We work with a master seamstress who can take in your gown to perfection! We never recommend ordering a gown based on the size you hope to be at the time of the wedding. Remember, it is easier to take in a gown than to let it out!
We take your bust, waist and hip measurements for our orders. Your measurements then get compared to the designers' size charts and we decide the best fit based upon that! Keep in mind that most bridal sizing runs about 2 sizes up from street clothes (a size 4 in ready to wear is generally a size 8 in bridal). Don't panic and remember that size is just a number!
We do not serve alcohol, however, you are welcome to bring your own bottle of bubbly to celebrate saying yes to your dress! We just ask that you do not bring any red wines to celebrate!

SHOPPING FOR MY GOWN
Bring yourself and a positive attitude! Any inspiration photos are welcome too. We have shoes here for you to try on with the gowns, but if you'd rather bring your own that's fine too. As far as undergarments go, nude underwear works best and we don't always recommend shapewear, but if you feel more comfortable wearing them go for it!
We recommend bringing those whose opinions you value and trust! Too many opinions aren't always helpful- trust us!
We carry Enzoani, Blue by Enzoani, Love by Enzoani, Badgley Mischka Bride, Elysee, Elysee Atelier, Elysee Edition, Netta BenShabu, Pronovias, Pronovias Privee, Pronovias Atelier, Rosa Clara & Rosa Clara Couture. We are adding a new collection, Penn Liv, to our shop this Fall as well!
Pricing for our gowns starts around $2,000 and goes up as high as $12,000. Most of what we have in store falls between the $3,000-$5,000 range.
Most of our samples are sizes 8-12. We have a selection of gowns for our curvy brides ranging between a size 18 up to a size 22.
We recommend shopping about 1 year before your big day! You'll be able to see everything that is available to you in a comfortable timeframe before your wedding.
The latest we feel comfortable ordering a gown is 10 months prior to your wedding.
ACCESSORIES
Absolutely! We just ask that you do not bring your gown in our store to shop for accessories.
Accessories take about 8-12 weeks to order. We recommend shopping for them at your pickup appointment if you purchased a gown with us. If not, anywhere from 4-6 months before your wedding is comfortable!
At least 4-6 months before your wedding date.
PAYMENT AND FINANCING
We accept Cash, Certified/Cashier Checks and Credit Cards. We require a 50% deposit to order all gowns and the remaining balance is due at the time of pickup or 15 days after the gown arrives in store. If the gown is not paid within 15 days of arrival, the credit card on file will be charged with the full amount and a 3% credit card processing fee. Remaining balances must be paid with either Cash or Certified/Cashier Check. If you would rather pay the balance of your gown with a credit card a 3% processing fee of the balance will be added to your total.
We only require a 50% deposit, but you are welcome to pay for your gown in full if you prefer to do so.
GOWN PRESERVATION
Absolutely! Gown Cleaning and Preservation starts at $450. You can drop off your gown to be preserved anytime during our normal business hours.
Aside from your photos and video, your gown is the only piece of your wedding you get to keep after the big day! You can preserve the memories of the day and keep your gown perfect for years to come! Gown preservation offers additional protection to your gown that a regular garment bag cannot provide, keeping the fabrics and beadwork just as beautiful as the day you wore it. Plus, it is a more convenient way to store your gown. Pro tip: many brides will use the fabric from their gown to make a Christening gown or something special for their future children!
Your gown will be boxed inside an archival storage box which is then placed in a larger box for extra protection.
Yes! The inner archival storage box has a punch-out window that allows you to look at your gown. Just remember to close the window after you are done to ensure proper gown preservation.
We recommend storing your gown somewhere dry and free of moisture, i.e. a basement, attic, spare bedroom closet, etc.
SAMPLE SALES
A sample sale is an event in which a bridal salon will sell a selection of their store sample gowns and accessories off the rack, usually at a discounted price!
Sample dresses are a store's floor samples that were used for other brides to try on during appointments. They are not gowns that have been worn by a bride for her actual wedding day.
Usually, most sample sale gowns are older styles from designers' previous collections. There is nothing wrong with the gowns on the sample rack, sometimes they have been discontinued by the designer, but usually, we just need to make room for new arrivals and collections! Sample sales are not often designer specific, and include a mix of all of our designers.
Most of the sample gowns range from size 8-12.
Gowns purchased off the rack must be paid in full.
Gowns purchased off the rack must be taken by the bride at the time of purchase.
Usually every bridal gown needs minor alterations and purchasing a gown off the rack is no exception. It doesn't necessarily cost more to alter a sample gown, but it is dependant on the amount of work that is needed on the gown and any changes the bride wants to make.
Shopping during a sample sale is ideal for brides who are on a tight timeline with an approaching wedding date or brides who are on a tight budget! The benefits are leaving with your gown the day you say yes and saving money on your designer gown!
TRUNK SHOWS
A trunk show is an event when a specific designer showcases their latest collection in our store! Trunk shows usually include some gowns that we do not regularly carry in store. It is the best way to see the latest bridal trends and more of what the designer has to offer!
Yes! Trunk shows are by appointment only and 1 hour long. During trunk show appointments, you are limited to only shopping the trunk show gowns.
Usually, we offer a promotion for purchasing a gown during a trunk show. That can include a discount on the gown or a credit towards accessories! This varies from trunk show to trunk show so please call the week of the event for further details.
